This dessert known as pastel Dobos, or Dobosh is a delicious Hungarian recipe. It consists of 6 different sheets of cake stuffed with pastry cream. The highlight of the cake is the final touch of the candy.
Preheat the oven to 200 centigrade. Beat the whites (of 7 eggs) to the nougat point and add the sugar. Once it is stirred add the yolks (of 7 eggs) one by one and add the oil. Remove from the blender and mix with flour with stirring movements.
In two round molds for baking greased and floured pastries, empty the mixture and bake for 20 minutes. Remove from the oven and let cool.
Cut the cakes in the center to finish with 4 equal pieces of thin cake.
To prepare the filling, add the butter with 1 cup of icing sugar and add 2 yolks, one by one. In a saucepan heat the half cup of milk and add the chocolate in squares until it is stirred. Mix and add the chocolate to the butter with sugar and yolks.
Put the chocolate filling on a layer of cake and cover, put another layer of cake on top and so on until finishing (reserving a cake layer for the end)
Put 1 cup of sugar in a pot over medium heat. Let the sugar melt and start making caramel. When it is the color of caramel, add the butter and remove from heat. Put on a layer of the cake (the one that was reserved) and cover very well. Cut the slices of cake using a very hot and oiled knife. Let the slices cool with caramel. Once they have cooled, place the slices of caramel on the cake.
